SUPER SMOOTHIES: LIQUID NUTRITON

“What’s the healthiest breakfast I can eat?”

This is one of the most common questions I am asked and it’s a great one! The best breakfast you can eat, is actually not one you eat, but drink. I am a huge fan of having smoothies for breakfast and I do most mornings. Those of you that have read Glow By Jenni Houston already know this, as smoothies are an integral part of the 21-Day cleanse and the Healthy Living Plan. Smoothies, when made with healthy ingredients, are an amazing way to start your day and rev up your metabolism. They are filled with macronutrients, micronutrients, phytonutrients, super foods, vitamins, and minerals.

Glow Super Smoothies, as I like to call them, are full of nutrition, easy on the digestive system, and are a quick and easy, on-the-go source of fuel. We are not talking about the sugar-laden, too much fruit, made with processed food stuffs smoothies here. Glow Super Smoothies are a balanced combination of healthy proteins, fats and low sugar carbs that give you energy and help stabilize your blood sugar levels. Here are few other reasons I love them:

  • Great way to sneak in a good dose of your daily veggies (Aim for 8 servings).
  • Once you have all the ingredients, smoothies can be whipped up in a flash.
  • Takes the guesswork out of what to make for breakfast before work or school.
  • A nourishing, healthy breakfast for the kiddos. Kids, even the food fussy ones, love to getting involved and creating their own smoothies!
  • The variety is endless! It’s so fun to make up new smoothie recipes and enjoy different flavors.

How To Make Super Smoothiessmoothieprep
