INSPIRED WELLNESS WARRIOR + MOMMY
I believe there’s nothing more important than your health and wellness. It’s personal to me. Both my father and my aunt fought and lost their battles to cancer when I was in college. Realizing that no one can take life, health and vitality for granted, I vowed to make it my life’s work to educate, coach, and promote holistic living.
When I learned that my father had been diagnosed with brain cancer, I suspended my Physical Therapy studies at the University of Miami and transferred to the University of Delaware, near home, so I could be closer to my family. Struggling to be supportive and to cope with my own feelings, I found the strength to focus. I graduated Summa Cum Laude, with a degree in Fitness Management, and became a certified personal trainer. Sadly, my dad succumbed to this devastating illness, and shockingly, his sister, too, soon passed away, from a rare form of adrenal cancer. These tragic events changed me. Although I was heartbroken, outraged, and scared (for my own health), I knew I had to lift my head up, look to the future and create a new path. This was my AHA moment! I now understood my life’s mission was to take charge of my own health, and to help others do the same.
I worked hard, driven by passion. I read and studied, and became a certified nutritionist. I learned new ways to cook, eat, and nourish my body, because I knew food WAS my medicine. I discovered that eating an anti-inflammatory, plant-centered, whole food diet promotes gut health and builds a stronger immune system. Most importantly, I learned you need to address and treat the root causes of disease, not just treat the symptoms, in order to heal your body.
What’s more, I learned that nutrition is a personal matter. In a general sense, an optimal diet includes real, whole, fresh food, that is sustainably raised. Plant-based foods should take center stage, meat should be a side dish, and healthy fats are a must. Yet most of us also need to customize our approach depending on our genetics, health conditions, preferences and needs.
I value the science-backed fields of nutrition, genetics, and medicine; still, I didn’t want to leave any path unexplored. So, I set off to learn as much as I could about holistic approaches, too. I discovered the benefits of meditation, mindfulness and how the way we think affects our health. The mind and body are truly connected! As I incorporated all these changes into my life, and saw the clear health benefits – increased energy, glowing skin, and less illness – I knew I was onto something real.
I knew it wasn’t enough just to improve my own life. I wanted to help others, too. I became a Wellness Warrior! Today, I teach people how to transform their lives, and coach them on their journey toward a healthier, more balanced and more fulfilling way of life. Now that I’m a new mommy, and I’m teaching my daughter to walk this path, I wouldn’t want less for anyone else.
My philosophy is a real-world approach. I understand all the challenges of today’s life. We’re busy, we’re stressed, and there is so much temptation to reach for junk food and the couch. But I know that, with the right support and coaching, anyone can make lifelong changes, just as I did. What do I mean by a real-world approach to nutrition and whole living? It means being intuitive and listening to your body. It means understanding that the health of your gut (microbiome) can determine your overall health and vitality (this includes your brain, immune system, and much more). It means centering your diet around anti-inflammatory, immunity-boosting foods. It means not blindly following the latest health fads, but instead, looking to proven, research-based and tested recommendations.
It means guiding my clients along their health journey and empowering them to take control of their own wellness. I work individually with my clients, customizing an eating plan that works specifically for them. We work together to understand the body, microbiome, glycemic responses, and genetics. And I understand it has to be a routine they can live with, sustain, and enjoy. My clients learn the necessary skills to take charge of their life. In turn, they discover more energy, more focus and more joy than they ever thought possible

CURRENTLY OBSESSED WITH: Roasted broccoli. It’s loaded with fiber, antioxidants to fight cancer, and vitamin C to aid in iron absorption. And I don't go a day without eggs, avocado, and a glass of organic red wine.

NEVER TRAVEL WITHOUT: My family, including our dogs. They are my tribe and we do everything together.
FAVORITE KITCHEN TOOL: It’s a tie! A spiralizer and my rotisserie.
SPIRIT ANIMAL: An elephant. We foster an elephant in Africa- I can't wait to meet him one day.
ASPEN HANGOUT: Anywhere outside- Smuggler Mountain is my go-to for a quick hike workout.
BIGGEST PET PEEVE: I have a zero tolerance policy for fake people.
GO-TO BEAUTY PRODUCTS: I am all about non-toxic skin care and make-up. I am loving Mineral Fusion right now and I never leave the house without Beautycounter's Calendula Lip Conditioner and Sunscreen.
GREATEST ACCOMPLISHMENT: Hands down, being a mom.
